About Us

Meet the Coast Agility Team - the trainers & their dogs!

Emma Warneford

Owner / Head Trainer
"I have always had a passion for working with animals , especially dogs. Leaving school I went on to get a degree in Animal Care and Zoological conservation , but my love for dogs took me on to work in boarding kennels for over 10yrs and eventually into the world of Dog Agility Training . I started training my first dog in agility back in 2002 and from then I was hooked. As of today I have trained all 8 of my dogs to compete in agility , taking 3 of them up to Grade 7 /  Championship level and competing in many National Finals , Discover Dogs and Crufts. As time went on and my experience and knowledge evolved, I decided to begin teaching in 2012. I find it so rewarding seeing handlers and their dogs working together and learning new skills in a fun and positive environment. "

My Agility Dogs - Past & Present

Cassie (2000-2012)

Cassie was my first ever dog, an English Springer Spaniel. She lived until 12yrs of age. Cassie was a bit of a wild child and as a new handler she was certainly a challenge but taught me so much and we had many many laughs along the way.

Fly (2009-2023)

Fly is a Working Sheep Dog and my first Collie. She is now 15yrs old and is a proper old lady enjoying her retirement years. When it came to agility she always had a lot to say and often barked whilst working. She had an unfortunate accident which resulted in a fractured knee at 18 months so it looked like agility would never happen but with lots of support she went on to compete and did brilliantly .

Jinx (2010 - 2023)

Jinx is a Border Collie and is 13yrs old , unfortunately due to an illness she has been left with very little if any sight.  She copes really well and loves her cuddles and sniffs on her walks. Jinx lived to work,  it was very much in her genes and she was a tough independant girl when out on a course , she would give it 100% every time she stepped on the line.

  • Grade 7 at Kennel Club,

  • Senior Level at UKA,

Emma Dyer

Foundation & Beginners Trainer
"I have lived with and loved dogs for as long as I can remember!  After moving to Cornwall a few years ago I began training with two of my dogs at Coast Agility and we have made great progress in working with Emma during that time.  As a qualified trainer I have experience running a variety of training classes and working with lots of dogs and owners to help them achieve their training goals. I love seeing owners and their dogs build stronger relationships, learn new things and have fun training together."

My Dogs

Mabel

After a tough start in life Mabel came to live with us as a foster puppy who then never left!  Mabel is a mixture of three breeds; Labrador, English Pointer and Springer Spaniel, she is the happiest dog I know and always tries her hardest for me.   Mabel & I started competing in 2022 and moved from Grade 1 to Grade 3 by the end of the year, she also got her bronze agility warrant.  She won into Grade 4 in February 2023.

Ivy

Ivy is a German Shorthaired Pointer, her foundation training was unfortunately disrupted by covid and our relocation to Cornwall but we have enjoyed all our training so far and plan to begin competing properly in 2023.  Away from agility Ivy loves to swim and regularly comes wild swimming with me!

Clemmie

Clemmie is my newest addition, a working cocker spaniel who loves to learn!  Clemmie has approached her training so far with great enthusiasm, she is a happy and confident puppy.
